WELCOME TO TRUANTS AFRICA

Our 10th ride is complete. Heat, Lions and lack of training didn’t deter our merry band of men and women from completing their task and raising money for our 4 children’s charities: Nordoff & Robbins Music Therapy, Teenage Cancer Trust, Childline and Save The Children.

Following a succesful end of ride dinner, we’re pleased to announce that this ride raised £560,000 for vulnerable young people across the world.

TCT:

‘At Teenage Cancer Trust, we rely on donations to carry out our vital work providing specialist care for young people with cancer. The astonishing amount The Truants raised at last year’s ride in Argentina was enough to fund two Lead Nurse roles for an entire year. Our Lead Nurses are highly trained to head up the specialist care of every young person in one our units.  We are so grateful to have The Truants in our corner and for the truly phenomenal fundraising and support they have given us over the years!’

STC:

Since becoming amazing supporters of Save the Children, The Truants have raised over £200,000 which has helped to create lasting change for children across the world through funding Emergency Health Units, the running costs of temporary classrooms to provide education during conflict, providing families with warm blankets and clothing to make it through winter and providing food and medicine to help tackle malnutrition.

N&R:

The Truants have been incredible supporters, raising an absolutely incredible amount of over £1.8M for Nordoff and Robbins since the start of their fundraising. This has paid for over 20,000 music therapy sessions, helping us reach more people in need with the power of music. We are so grateful for your support!

Childline:

Since 2013 The Truants have been supporting and fundraising for Childline raising over £1.3m. This has enabled us to continue to be there by phone, email and online chat for the brave children and young people that call us. £4 could help answer a child’s call for help to Childline and it costs £40,000 a day to run the service. The money The Truants has raised allows us to be there when children need us and ensures they have someone to turn to when they are in distress or danger.
